MEC Motara visits Sedibeng Schools to assess readiness for 2025 academic year
On 15 January, Gauteng MEC for Human Settlements, Tasneem Motara, visited three schools in the Sedibeng region as part of the Gauteng Provincial Government’s Back-to-School Campaign.
The visits, under the theme “Delivering Quality Education in a Modern Environment,” aim to evaluate the schools’ preparedness for the new academic year.
The schools the MEC visited are:
General Smuts Secondary School in Vereeniging
Thuto Lore Secondary School in Sharpeville
Mohlodi Maritime School of Specialisation in Sharpeville
In addition to the school visits, MEC Motara will engage with key stakeholders in the education sector to address challenges and opportunities within the region.
This initiative forms part of the government’s commitment to ensuring quality education and modern learning environments for all learners in Gauteng.
