L.t. Colonel Hammond leads a community engagement in Mountain City
On 3 March, De Deur SAPS,in collaboration with Community Safety and De Deur Community Policing Forum, assembled with the Mountain City community members to address perilous activities of crime in Mountain City.
The primary objective of the engagement was to meticulously caution the community of Mountain City to refrain from assaulting suspects before calling the police. The newly inducted CPF was introduced, therefore the community was indelibly urged to work hand in hand with the police and the CPF, share information and not attend to issues or perilous situations alone but to always call the police so that justice is served in a precise manner.
The community was considerately presented with an opportunity to ask questions and state their concerns. De Deur SAPS is committed to constructing and sustaining a positive relationship with the community. The community is encouraged to immediately notify the police whenever there is any crime committed or in progress by calling De Deur SAPS on 016 590 9200, or Crime Stop hotline on 08600 10111 or Alternatively use the MySAPS.
