Gruesome discovery: Body found on roadside in Eikenhof, De Deur

De Deur SAPS has launched a murder investigation after a lifeless body was found on the side of the road in Eikenhof, De Deur.

On Monday, 10 March, De Deur SAPS police responded expeditiously to a distressed call out, and upon their arrival at the scene on R550 Eikenhof Misgund, they discovered a lifeless body of an unidentified African male who is believed to be in his late 20s laying on the side of the road.

Upon examination, the African male had suffered gunshot wounds on his left side of the head and was declared dead on the scene by Emergency Medical Services.The deceased was wearing blue jean shorts with a grey top when found dead by the police.

De Deur SAPS is expeditiously urging any societal or community member who has lost a relative, friend or neighbor to report to the station.

The police also urges the public to help by providing any relevant information regarding this sickening incident and that may help with identifying the victim and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
