Woman’s body found after drowning in Weillersfarm stream

On Wednesday, 12 March, at around 10:30, the body of a woman was recovered from a water stream in Weillersfarm, after she was swept away by fast-moving water on Tuesday night following heavy rainfall.

De Deur SAPS is urging the public to exercise extreme caution during rainy conditions, particularly advising against crossing water streams during or shortly after rainfall.

The police are also recommending that residents avoid routes near water streams and opt for safer alternative paths to ensure their safety. Crossing water streams, especially after rainfall, is highly risky and dangerous due to the unpredictable depth of the water.
