SAPS and community join forces to aid Silahliwe families

On 19 February, Meyerton SAPS and other stakeholders came together to support families after two shacks were destroyed by fire in Silahliwe, Sicelo.

Social Crime Prevention officers, sector leaders, and local brigades provided immediate assistance, while Gauteng Traffic Police helped secure the area and prevent further damage. Neighbours donated essential items including clothing, bedding, and household necessities.

The coordinated effort highlighted the impact of police, civic, and community collaboration in providing relief after emergencies.
