Midvaal’s Walk with the Mayor returns to Vaal Marina

Midvaal Local Municipality will once again host its annual Walk with the Mayor event at Vaal Marina on 21 March.

This initiative, led by the Executive Mayor, Alderman Peter Teixeira, aims to promote social cohesion while encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle among residents of Midvaal. Registrations will take place from 7am to 8am, with the official programme running from 8am to 11am at Waterfront Park, 915 Perlemoen Street, Vaal Marina.

This year’s event introduces a 10km route, catering to more enthusiastic walkers and runners.

Participants can look forward to enjoying the scenic surroundings of Vaal Marina, along with a variety of activities, including cultural group performances and aerobics sessions.

There will be entertainment for children, including jumping castles, as well as educational programmes on swimming safety featured as part of the day’s activities.

The event promises a fun-filled experience for the entire family.
