Safety awareness visit strengthens child protection at Klein Klipies
Child Safety Awareness Drive Held at Klein Klipies Day CareKlein Klipies Day Care Centre received a child protection awareness visit on 22 May, as law enforcement and community stakeholders joined efforts to strengthen child safety in early childhood development centres.
The outreach was led by the Meyerton GBV Coordinator, Sector 2 Manager, FCS Vereeniging, and Agape, focusing on the prevention of child abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
During the engagement, officials educated staff on safeguarding practices and the importance of creating safe environments where children feel protected, supported, and respected.
Meyerton SAPS Communication Officer Constable Nompumelelo Zazini said protecting children requires collective action from both the community and institutions responsible for their care.
“The safety and wellbeing of children remain a priority. We encourage caregivers and institutions to remain vigilant and work together to protect children from harm,” said Zazini.
Management at Klein Klipies Day Care welcomed the initiative and thanked stakeholders for their continued support in promoting child safety awareness.
