Sedibeng District Health Services bids farewell to Dr Carmen Whyte

Colleagues at Sedibeng District Health Services paid tribute to Public Health Specialist Dr Carmen Whyte on Thursday, 23 July 2026, as she prepared to begin a new chapter in her career.

Dr Whyte was recognised for her dedication, expertise and commitment to strengthening public health services across the district.

According to Sedibeng District Health Services, her contribution had a significant impact on the district, her colleagues and particularly the Employee Wellness team.

“Her leadership, guidance and passion for improving healthcare have inspired many and contributed immensely to advancing quality health services,” the district said in a farewell message.

The organisation also thanked Dr Whyte for her years of service and the role she played in supporting healthcare professionals and improving public health programmes.

“While she will be greatly missed, we wish her continued success, good health and fulfilment in all her future endeavours,” the statement read.

Sedibeng District Health Services said Dr Whyte’s contribution would remain an important part of the district’s history and described her legacy as one that would continue to inspire those who worked alongside her.
