Double murder under investigation in Weilersfarm

Two men were found shot dead at a street intersection in Weilersfarm during the early hours of Sunday, 2 August, prompting a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

The bodies were discovered at the corner of Fountain Drive and Morning Star Street in the De Deur policing precinct.

Police have not yet confirmed whether the men were shot at the scene or whether their bodies were left there after the attack.

Gauteng police spokesperson Brigadier Brenda Muridili said no suspects had been arrested and the motive remained unknown.

“The motive for the shooting will form part of the ongoing investigation,” Muridili said.
