Mukwevho’s rise inspires Sedibeng SAPS achievers

SAPS employees working in fields ranging from administration to criminal investigations were recognised for their contributions to policing on Friday, September 4.

The recognition formed part of the Sedibeng District Excellence Awards, which celebrated members, employees and teams who demonstrated professionalism, integrity and commitment in their work.

During the ceremony, a lieutenant general reflected on the leadership journey of Sedibeng District Commissioner Major General Nkhensani Mukwevho. He recalled recognising her potential when she was still a warrant officer stationed at Sebokeng SAPS.

Her progression through the police ranks was highlighted as an example of how dedication and strong leadership can support professional growth within the service.

Awards were presented in categories including Administration Employee of the Year, Visible Policing Employee of the Year, Operational Response Services Member of the Year and Detective Services Employee of the Year.

Other categories recognised the FCS Investigator of the Year, Crime Intelligence Member of the Year, Visible Policing Team of the Year, Person with Disability of the Year, Woman of the Year and Man of the Year.

Mukwevho congratulated the winners and nominees for their contributions across the district. She encouraged SAPS employees to continue serving their communities with professionalism, integrity and commitment.

The ceremony also recognised the varied roles performed by employees across different divisions in supporting policing and community safety throughout Sedibeng.
