Health services brought closer to Tshepong and Masenkeng residents

Residents of Tshepong and the Masenkeng Informal Settlement in Ward 21 are accessing a range of essential healthcare services closer to home as part of the Gauteng Department of Health’s #Siyabaphilisa outreach programme.

Sedibeng District Health Services is conducting the community health outreach on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, in the Emfuleni Sub-District, with services available from 09:00 to 15:00.

The initiative aims to improve access to healthcare by taking services directly into communities, particularly for residents who may experience difficulties accessing health facilities.

Among the services available are comprehensive health screenings, HIV and TB testing, immunisation, vaccinations, family planning, oral healthcare, Pap smears and PSA screening.

Residents can also receive adherence support for chronic treatment, while health education and healthy lifestyle activities form part of the programme.

Dental services are being provided on site, allowing community members to access oral healthcare without having to travel to another facility.

The outreach forms part of efforts by the Gauteng Department of Health and Sedibeng District Health Services to promote preventative healthcare, early detection and improved access to essential services.

Residents in the area are encouraged to make use of the services while the outreach team remains on site until 15:00 today.
