October 26, 2026

Farmers, producers, agribusinesses and agricultural suppliers will have an opportunity to access industry information and explore business partnerships at an Agricultural Information Day and Exhibition in Meyerton on 28 October.

The event, organised by the municipality’s Local Economic Development Section, will take place at 10:00 at Mitchell Park in Meyerton, next to the municipal offices.

Held under the theme “Building a Resilient, Competitive and Inclusive Agricultural Sector through Knowledge, Innovation and Market Access”, the event will focus on practical information to support agricultural businesses and improve market access.

Topics will include seasonal preparedness, the impact of El Niño on crops and livestock, agricultural financing and insurance, market requirements and farming machinery.

The programme will also provide opportunities for networking with industry stakeholders and exploring business partnerships through business-to-business (B2B) sessions.

Farmers, producers, agribusinesses and agricultural suppliers are encouraged to attend and gain insights into developments and opportunities within the agricultural sector.
