Savanna City Primary construction reaches 60% completion
Construction at Savanna City Primary is progressing steadily, with the project now 60% complete.
The Department of Infrastructure Development recently conducted a site inspection to monitor progress and assess work being carried out across the school development. The visit formed part of ongoing efforts to ensure that the project remains on track while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Construction activities currently include brickwork on multiple school blocks, roof structure and roof covering installations, internal plastering, plumbing and electrical first-fix installations, stormwater and sewer works, underground water reticulation, perimeter fencing, attenuation tank and pond backfilling, as well as foundation and concrete works.
“The Department of Infrastructure Development remains committed to delivering quality public infrastructure that responds to the needs of communities. Regular site inspections are important in ensuring that projects such as Savanna City Primary School are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard,” the department said.
The next phase of work will focus on advancing brickwork, internal plastering and roofing to keep the project on track.
Once completed, Savanna City Primary School is expected to provide a modern learning environment for learners in the community, supporting access to quality education and improved school infrastructure.
