Homestead Apple Orchards gets service delivery boost

Midvaal Local Municipality team carried out a service delivery blitz in Homestead Apple Orchards on Thursday, 9 July 2026, addressing maintenance and bylaw-related concerns across the area.

The operation included tree trimming, grass cutting, repainting road markings, bylaw enforcement and other service delivery interventions.

Midvaal Executive Mayor Peter Teixeira said the work formed part of the municipality’s Blitz Service Delivery Thursdays programme.

“Our teams were hard at work trimming trees, painting road markings, enforcing bylaws, cutting grass and carrying out other service delivery interventions to keep the area clean, safe and well maintained,” Teixeira said.

The programme brings together different municipal departments to carry out focused maintenance work in selected communities across Midvaal.
