This week, Walkerville & Savanna City Times Weekly Snapshot Issue 10 brings together community achievements, sporting success, safety developments and stories celebrating women making an impact.

Savanna FC has reached an exciting milestone after earning promotion to the SAB League, setting the stage for a new challenge when the season kicks off in September.

Women are also taking centre stage this week. Two women from Midvaal’s boxing community earned top honours at the GSport Awards, placing local sporting talent in the national spotlight. Midvaal Local Municipality also welcomed local schoolgirls for an opportunity to learn more about careers in local government and leadership.

On the crime front, police arrested a 44-year-old suspect after recovering two unlicensed firearms and ammunition during a Crime Intelligence-led operation in Sebokeng.

As Women’s Month continues, we’re also calling on inspiring women across our communities to step forward and share their stories — or nominate a remarkable woman who deserves to be recognised. 🌸✨
