Buthelezi wears Miss Kanana Park crown with purpose
For Ayanda Buthelezi, being Miss Kanana Park 2024 is about more than wearing a crown. It is an opportunity to represent the community, inspire other women and use her platform to make a difference.
The entrepreneur and business owner from Lenasia Extension 9 began her pageant journey when she was crowned Miss Finetown in 2023. She later claimed the Miss Kanana Park title, adding another milestone to a journey built on patience, faith and determination.
“My journey has taught me to be patient and trust God. Whatever He has planned for you will happen,” Buthelezi said.
As an ambassador for Miss Kanana Park, she hopes to encourage girls and women to believe in their abilities and pursue their goals, even when progress appears slow.
“Being a woman means strength, lifting others and showing up every day,” she said.
Beyond pageantry, Buthelezi is building her own business from the ground up—an achievement she considers one of the proudest moments of her journey.
She believes the discipline and confidence gained through pageantry have strengthened her approach to entrepreneurship and community leadership.
Buthelezi wants her title to leave a meaningful impact by showing young women that a crown can become a platform for service, encouragement and positive change.
“I want other women to keep going, believe in themselves and build what they dream of from the ground up,” she said.
