Yolandie set to release uplifting remix of ‘Morne se Lied’ and inspiring new book

Meyerton singer and storyteller Yolandie is set to release a remix of her hit song Morne se Lied along with a new book titled Die Wonderwerk van Morne se Lied (The Miracle of Morne’s Song) on 8 August, in celebration of Women’s Month.

The remix, produced by Andre Hartman and written by Sandra Esterhuizen Nest, brings a joyful and uplifting energy. “I want to create music that brings comfort and lifts people’s spirits,” Yolandie told Walkerville and Savanna City Times.

Her book offers a deeper look into the personal journey behind the song – focusing on faith, healing and the miracle it represents.

“This is not a tell-all book. It’s about the process, the miracle and the healing that came with the song,” she said. Yolandie has been touching hearts with her soulful music and storytelling during her nationwide tour, Ster in die spieel.

She discovered her love for music in Sunday school, blossomed into live performances at 20, and after a 23-year break, made a powerful comeback with renewed passion – driven by the faith that sustained her through the years.

Since 2023, she has released the duet album Shades of Time and several singles, including Caravans, Alles Oor Jou, and Engel aan My Sy. These earned her Melomaan Talent Awards for Music Video of the Year and Cover Song of the Year earlier this year.

Looking ahead, Yolandie plans exclusive listening and reading events, an audiobook version of her book and live shows that fuse music and storytelling – continuing to share her inspiring journey with audiences.

Her work is available on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, and other platforms — continuing to inspire audiences across South Africa.
