Deputy minister Makwetla hands over houses to military veterans in Savanna City
Earlier today, the Deputy Minister of Defence & Military Veterans, Mr Thabang Makwetla, joined by Gauteng MEC for Human Settlements, Mr Lebogang Maile, Sedibeng Executie Mayor, Ms Lerato Maloka, Midvaal Executive Mayor, Ald Peter Teixeira and the Acting Director General of the DMV, Rtd Admiral Hlongwane handed over 13 new homes to military veterans will in Savanna City.
The housing development project implemented by the Ministry of Defence and Military Veterans and Gauteng Human Settlements has yielded a total of 151 houses for military veterans from different associations.
Both departments have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the Department of Military Veterans to provide funding that will cover the additional features to all the homes that will be provided for military veterans.

Deputy Minister of Defense and Military Veterans, Cde Thabang Makwetla, is honouring promises made to the community of military veterans, by providing them with decent housing as part of fulfilment of the Military Veterans Act 18 of 2011.
