Walkerville Easter Market unites community with food, fun and festive cheer
Walkerville residents celebrated the Easter spirit in style on 19 April, as the Niche Community Market hosted a one-day-only Easter Pop-Up Market at the charming Thyme Square Nursery, just a block away from Canterbury Arms.
Held in place of the regular Saturday market-closed for the Easter weekend- the special event brought together local vendors, families and community members in a warm, festive atmosphere at the corner of Main and School Road.
Shoppers were treated to an array of handmade crafts, artisan goods and delicious food, while children enjoyed one of the day’s highlights: a lively Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt that added seasonal magic and excitement for the whole family.
More than just a shopping experience, the market became a space for residents to connect, relax and celebrate Easter together, despite the chilly weather.
Event organiser Helen Glynn, said the day was a great success. She told Globe Post: “We all had fun- not even the cold could stop this beautiful event. Customers poured in and supported our stallholders. Everyone had excellent sales and a wonderful time.”
The event once again showcased Walkerville’s strong sense of community and entrepreneurial spirit, with locals turning out in numbers to support small businesses and share in the Easter joy.
