Midvaal gets employees moving at Corporate Wellness Day
Midvaal Local Municipality encouraged employees to prioritise their health during a Corporate Wellness Day held this week, combining healthy-living talks with practical exercise sessions.
The programme covered diet, meal planning and the importance of regular physical activity, giving staff guidance on building healthier habits.
Virgin Active representatives shared information about fitness plans and membership benefits, while trainers from Good Life Sports Fitness led energising aerobics sessions.
Midvaal Executive Mayor Ald Peter Teixeira said the initiative formed part of its investment in employee wellbeing and a healthier workforce equipped to serve residents.
“Investing in the wellbeing of our employees means investing in a stronger, healthier workforce, ready to continue serving our residents with energy and excellence,” said Teixeira.
The event brought together health education and physical activity, encouraging employees to make wellness part of their everyday routines.
