From the studio to the airwaves: Mpondabrothers celebrates “Nyamthanda”Hearing his own music on the radio has given Mpondabrothers something to celebrate, with his Afro-house track “Nyamthanda” earning airtime on Newcastle FM.
The musician shared the news with Orange Farm News, announcing that “Nyamthanda (Afro House Mix)” was playing on the station’s Castle Drive show, which runs from 15:00 to 18:00.
“Now our new song is playing at Newcastle FM,” he said in a message filled with fire and applause emojis, signing off with the enthusiastic words: “Hits after hits.”
His excitement reflects the significance of getting a song beyond the recording studio and into listeners’ daily lives. With a place on the afternoon programme, “Nyamthanda” has an opportunity to reach people who may be hearing Mpondabrothers for the first time.
The artist shared the airplay announcement on 18 September 2026, ahead of the song’s planned release at the end of that month.
For an artist promoting new music, radio provides a platform to introduce a track and build recognition. For Mpondabrothers, the Newcastle FM feature is a moment worth celebrating as he works to bring “Nyamthanda” to a wider audience.
His message was brief, but the excitement was clear: his music had reached the airwaves, and he wanted listeners to tune in.
