Family desperate for answers as Sebokeng woman disappears without a trace
De Deur police are appealing to the public for assistance in locating 33-year-old Bonolo Valerine Ashley Sebalo, who has been missing since Friday, 2 October 2026, after last making contact with her father while reportedly in Vereeniging.
According to a statement issued by De Deur SAPS on Thursday, 8 October 2026, Bonolo was last seen by her father at approximately 07:30 at his home in Zone 14, Sebokeng.
Her father reportedly left the house that morning while Bonolo was still asleep. As a result, the family is unable to confirm what clothing she was wearing when she disappeared. Later that afternoon, at approximately 16:30, her father contacted her by telephone. During their conversation, Bonolo informed him that she was in Vereeniging.
That conversation was the last known contact between Bonolo and her father. Since then, attempts to reach her on her cellphone have been unsuccessful, and she has not returned home.
Police confirmed that Bonolo usually moves between her mother’s residence in Debonairpark and her father’s home in Zone 14, Sebokeng. Her disappearance has prompted De Deur SAPS to open a missing person investigation as officers work to establish her whereabouts. The appeal was issued on behalf of De Deur SAPS Station Commander, Colonel Zachariah Ranake, who is seeking the community’s cooperation in helping locate Bonolo.
Residents in Sebokeng, Vereeniging, Debonairpark and surrounding communities are encouraged to come forward with any information that could assist investigators.
Anyone who may have seen Bonolo or knows where she might be is urged to contact De Deur SAPS immediately on 016 590 9200. Alternatively, information can be shared directly with the investigating officer on 081 086 8551.
