Midvaal honours stakeholders for five years of collaboration

October 12, 2026

Partnerships that have supported community development took centre stage as Midvaal Local Municipality hosted its Stakeholder Appreciation Brunch on Saturday, 10 October.

The gathering marked the conclusion of a five-year municipal term, recognising organisations and individuals who contributed towards the municipality’s growth and development.

Representatives from businesses, the private sector, NGOs, NPOs, community organisations, faith-based institutions and the media attended the event.

Executive Mayor Alderman Peter Teixeira expressed his appreciation for the continued support received throughout the five-year period.

“I sincerely thank all our stakeholders for walking this journey with us. Your continued support, meaningful partnerships and valuable contributions have played an important role in building a better Midvaal. Together, we have demonstrated what can be achieved through collaboration and a shared commitment to our communities,” said Teixeira.

The municipality highlighted the importance of maintaining strong relationships between local government, businesses and community organisations to support sustainable development.

The occasion also provided an opportunity to reflect on collective achievements and strengthen partnerships for the future.
