R59 future takes shape

Residents and stakeholders gathered at Meyerton Town Hall on 19 August to have their say on the review of the R59 Corridor Strategic Development Plan.

The stakeholder engagement session provided community members with an opportunity to learn more about the proposed planning framework and contribute their views on future development along the corridor.

Midvaal Local Municipality MMC for Development and Planning, Cllr Thembi Maduna, led the session together with the municipality’s Development and Planning team. Plan Associates delivered presentations during the engagement.

The review process gives residents and other stakeholders an opportunity to provide input before the plan is finalised, ensuring that community perspectives form part of discussions around development in the area.

Residents who were unable to attend can still submit comments to planning@midvaal.gov.za before 31 August.

Further stakeholder engagement sessions are scheduled to take place on 22 August, providing another opportunity for members of the public to participate in the process.
