NEHAWU strike action impacts Midvaal clinics’ operations

Midvaal Local Municipality’s MMC for Community Safety, Thembi Modiba has said the ongoing national strike action by the National Education, Health, and Allied Workers (NEHAWU) union is affecting the operations of various Midvaal Clinics.

“A number of services at sites such as Kookrus Clinic, Lakeside Clinic, Meyerton Clinic and Randvaal have been interrupted. Although health services and facilities such as clinics do not fall under the municipality’s  competency, they still affect the well-being and health of our residents,” said Modiba.

The municipality advises community members to visit their nearest hospital or call for an ambulance in cases of emergency.
