Bongani Baloyi leaves Action SA

Action SA Gauteng’s Provincial Chairperson Bongani Baloyi has announced that he tendered his resignation from the party earlier today at a meeting with the party’s leadership.

This follows reports of a spat between the former Midvaal Mayor Baloyi and party leader Herman Mashaba.

“It’s understood the rift was caused by what the party claims are irreconcilable differences on the running of the provincial structures, and a difference of opinion about policy issues,” wrote EWN’s Nokukhanya Mntambo.

Baloyi will announce his future plans at a media briefing scheduled to take place this afternoon.
