Mayor Texeira spreads love in Midvaal
As part of the Spread the Love campaign, Midvaal Executive Mayor, Alderman Peter Teixeira and representatives of Kotulong Community Centre donated over 280 school shoes to Springfield School learners.
Springfield primarily caters to mildly intellectually disabled (MID) learners and offers vocational subjects such as Metal Work, Woodwork, Needlework and Office Administration.
Following this donation, Texeira joined Lynca Meats and Harvest Fresh representatives in Boitumelo, Ward 4 to donate over 50 food parcels to less privileged families and the elderly.
“Midvaal Local Municipality is a compassionate and people-centred institution. We call upon interested stakeholders to come on board and partner us as we work to uplift the lives of the people,” said Ald Teixeira.
The Spread the Love campaign is a Mayoral Programme that seeks to assist the less privileged and those in need across all 15 Wards of the Midvaal Municipality.
