Vitality Netball World Cup trophy passes through Midvaal

The prestigious 2023 Vitality Netball World Cup trophy landed in Gauteng on Tuesday, 30 May, for its countrywide tour, ahead of the much-anticipated tournament to be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 28 July to 6 August.

Gauteng MEC for sport, recreation, arts and culture, Morakane Mosupyoe, and took it on a bus tour around the South Corridor areas.

They took a stop at the Sicelo Community Centre in Midvaal where the Mayor, Ald Peter Teixeira together with MEC Mosupyoe and Netball SA’s President, Cecilia Molokwane, handed over sports equipment to a local school as part of the trophy tour.
