Walkerville’s soccer prodigy seeks funding to attend tournament in Italy
Passionate soccer player, Isaac Diogo (17), a grade 11 learner at Glenvista High School has been selected to be part of the Socca Dream Team’s squad set to participate in a tournament to run from 28 August to 7 September in Tuscany, Italy.
During the trip, he will attend football training sessions and play in matches in the area. Making the trip will provide him with an extraordinary opportunity to challenge himself and experience the rich Italy’s soccer culture.
The family is short of funds to raise the R65 000 to cover the trip’s expenses.
Isaac’s mom, Zoe Diogo told Walkerville & Savanna City Times: “At the moment, we managed to raise R35 200 and we are still short of R29 300. We appeal to businesses, individuals, organisations and well-wishers to please assist us. Your sponsorship will bring relief to us and and help him pursue his dreams with confidence.”
