Local farmers explore agricultural opportunities in rose geranium farming during information session

Midvaal Local Municipalitiy’s Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Development and Planning, Mokete Motsamai, organised an informative session to engage and enlighten local farmers involved in the cultivation of Rose Geranium plants on the diverse opportunities within the Department of Agriculture.

The session, held yesterday under the purview of MMC addressed key aspects of the agricultural sector, with a particular emphasis on Land Acquisition with representatives from the Department of Agriculture present to provide valuable insights into the process of accessing land for farming purposes.

During the event, the Department of Agriculture’s officials shared crucial information relevant to local farmers, shedding light on the intricacies of Land Acquisition procedures. This included guidance on navigating the various channels and protocols required to secure land from the department.

The Rose Geranium group also received updates on the progress achieved by Sedimed Oils in the implementation of the Essential Oils program.
