Midvaal installs over 300 streetlights in Savanna City

On Thursday, 13 April, Midvaal Local Municipality’s Executive Mayor, Ald Peter Texeira and the MMC for Engineering services, Cllr Reginald Hubbard officially unveiled over 300 energy-efficient LED streetlights in Ward 11, Savanna City.

The installation of the streetlights cost R1.3 million, and will provide improved visibility, safety and quality of life for the residents.

“This project is a testament to the municipality’s unwavering commitment to delivering excellent service delivery,” said Texeira.

Last year, the municipality allocated R10 million towards electrification of 453 houses in Savanna City’s Moreki and Marothong sections.
