Pothole repairs underway on P175/1 in Sedibeng
Motorists travelling along Road P175/1 between Vanderbijlpark and Potchefstroom have been urged to exercise caution as road maintenance work continues along the route.
The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport said its road maintenance team is carrying out pothole patching using hot-mix asphalt as part of ongoing efforts to improve road conditions and enhance safety.
“The work forms part of ongoing efforts to improve road conditions and enhance safety for all road users,” the department said.
The maintenance is focused on repairing damaged sections of the roadway that could pose a risk to motorists.
The department urged drivers approaching the maintenance zone to reduce their speed, remain alert and exercise caution while teams are working.
Motorists should also allow sufficient following distance and be mindful of workers and maintenance vehicles operating near the roadway.
The maintenance forms part of ongoing road improvement efforts in Sedibeng aimed at addressing potholes and improving travelling conditions.
Drivers using the P175/1 should anticipate possible delays and exercise patience when passing through areas where maintenance work is underway.
