Savanna City Primary takes shape as construction progresses

Construction teams are working on classrooms, sports facilities and essential service connections at Savanna City Primary School in Midvaal, with several parts of the project progressing simultaneously.

A site inspection update outlined work across the school buildings and grounds, from interior finishes to water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure.

“The focus remains on completing the work to the required quality and safety standards, while creating a school environment that supports teaching, learning and the wider school community,” the update stated.

Inside the buildings, teams are carrying out painting, ceiling installations, flooring, tiling and plastering. Plumbing and electrical installations are also continuing, alongside roofing, glazing and door installations across several blocks.

Outdoor work includes the sports field, combi court, walkways and paving. Teams are also working on landscaping, the boundary wall and perimeter fencing.

The update did not provide a completion date or indicate when the facilities would be ready for use.
