Suspect in R113 million Evaton stand fraud case appears in court today
The South African Police Service (SAPS) arrested a 51-year-old man in connection with a fraud case involving the alleged unlawful sale of government-owned stands in Evaton.
The case was opened in 2019 by the Department of Human Settlements after the discovery that government stands had allegedly been sold illegally.

Preliminary investigations indicate the Department suffered an estimated financial loss of R113 million.
