Planned water interruption to affect parts of Meyerton on Wednesday
Residents in parts of Meyerton are expected to experience a planned water interruption on Wednesday, 30 September, while Midvaal Local Municipality carries out work on its water supply network.
The interruption will affect Ward 14, Meyerton Extension 4 and Meyerton Extension 6, from 08:00 until 15:00.
According to the municipality, the temporary shutdown is required to facilitate the installation and commissioning of a Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV).
The municipality said the work forms part of efforts to improve the efficiency of its water supply network and service delivery.
Residents in Rissik Street, Pretorius Street, Reitz Street and Holiday Street are among those expected to be affected.
Two water tanker trucks will be deployed during the interruption to assist residents.
One tanker will be stationed at the corner of Holiday Street and Reitz Street, while the second will move between Rissik Street and Pretorius Road to provide water to residents in surrounding areas.
Midvaal Local Municipality apologised to residents for the inconvenience caused by the planned interruption.
