Savanna City youths launch new podcast

A group of four Savanna City Pocket 4 youths, Letsie Temba, Bongane Ngwenya, Kamogelo Modirwa and Motsamai Mosia recently launched ‘The Only Podcast’ on YouTube where they discuss a number of interesting and exciting topics.

The group told Walkerville & Savanna City Times: “We have collectively had this dream for a while, we started an old show called “the untitled podcast” with Prince Modirwa, at the time, we did not have the experience on how to do it or how it would look like. It collapsed after a couple of episodes when we discovered other big podcasts with the same name. We decided to rebrand and improve the podcast taking lessons from our first production. We do not have fancy lighting and cameras, we rely on our phones and whatever useful item we can find.”

The Only Podcast has a focus on news and topics that are relevant, exciting and innovative to young adults.

“We created a space for alternative voices to be heard on a different platform rather than the traditional radio stations as the world is rapidly digitilising. We encourage those interested in getting featured on the show, those who have something they would want to share to the world or showcase their talents or businesses to get in touch with us. Everyone is welcome to be on our show with no charge at all. Businesses big or small can also reach out,” the group added.

The team aspires to see the podcast reaching more people, especially the youth in the country who are invited to be on the show. They also aim to create jobs and more shows in the future.
