Service delivery blitz reaches Rothdene

Municipal teams descended on Rothdene on Thursday, 17 September, as Midvaal Local Municipality continued its ward-by-ward Blitz Service Delivery Thursdays programme.

The initiative saw municipal services brought directly into the community as part of ongoing efforts to address service delivery needs and improve conditions across Midvaal.

The programme moves between wards, allowing teams to focus attention on individual communities and respond to municipal issues requiring intervention.

Midvaal Executive Mayor Ald Peter Teixeira highlighted the municipality’s approach to taking services closer to residents.

“Ward by ward, we’re bringing services closer to our communities,” Teixeira said.

Rothdene was the latest area to receive attention through the initiative, with the municipality indicating that the programme will continue in other communities.

The blitz forms part of Midvaal’s efforts to maintain a visible municipal presence and tackle service delivery matters at community level.
