New chapter begins at Midvaal

August 20, 2026

Midvaal Local Municipality welcomed its newest staff members during a Mayoral Committee meeting last week, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the employees joining the municipality.

The new recruits were welcomed by Executive Mayor Ald Peter Teixeira, Speaker of Council Ald Alan McLoughlin, Acting Municipal Manager Eugene Lensley and Executive Director for Corporate Services Solly Cave.

Municipal leadership used the occasion to welcome the employees to the Proudly Midvaal team and highlight the broader purpose that comes with serving the municipality and its communities.

In its message to the new staff members, the municipality emphasised that joining Midvaal was about more than becoming part of an organisation.

“You didn’t just join an organisation, you joined a purpose. We’re glad you are part of it,” the municipality said.

The welcome gave the new employees an opportunity to begin their journey with the municipality while being introduced to members of its leadership team.
