MNDA raises R3 200 for cancer support

The Midvaal North Darts Association (MNDA) raised R3 200 during a Cancer Awareness and Fundraising Night held on 27 August.

The money was raised through entry fees, cupcake sales and an auction, and will be handed over to Stepping Stone in the name of the Janine Fritz – “You’ll Never Walk Alone” Fund.

MNDA president Marius Swart thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the event.

“I would like to thank each and every person who supported our Cancer Night. Whether you contributed through your entry fee, bought cupcakes, participated in the auction, donated towards the cause or simply came along to support the evening, every contribution made a difference,” said Swart.

He also acknowledged the organisers, players, donors and those who supplied items for the auction and cupcakes.

The fundraiser highlighted how sport can be used as a platform to support important causes and bring people together beyond competition.

MNDA said the initiative was aimed at showing solidarity with people affected by cancer and reinforcing the message that no one should have to face the journey alone.
