Midvaal’s #ReSebetsaMmoho hits the streets of Lakeside Estate and Savanna City
On Monday, 3 April, Midvaal Local Municipality’s #ReSebetsaMmoho weekly clean-up campaign was held in Lakeside Estate and Savanna City.
The #ReSebetsaMmoho team led by MMC for Development and Planning, Mokete Motsamai was joined by the Executive Mayor Ald Peter Teixeira, with MMC for Engineering Services, Cllr Reginald Hubbard and Ward 6 and 11 Councillors.
Motsamai told Walkerville & Savanna City Times: “We are working towards a changed behaviour in responsible management of waste and keeping our neighbourhoods clean, green and safe. We ought to ensure that our people live in an environment which is not harmful to their health or well-being. This campaign must be leveraged by improving community participation to keep the environment clean, and to optimise environmental awareness and the cleaning efforts in our communities.”
