Run, Laugh, Repeat: Midvaal MADMAC 2024 is Here!

Lace up your running shoes and mark your calendars for Sunday, 6 October 2024, as the highly anticipated Midvaal MADMAC race returns, offering participants a chance to take part in one of the most exciting events of the year. With race options of 42km, 15km, and 5km, there’s something for everyone, from seasoned marathoners to casual runners.

This year’s event serves as an early qualifier for both the 2025 Two Oceans Marathon and the Comrades Marathon, boasting generous cut-off times that ensure every participant has the opportunity to cross the finish line. The course has been meticulously measured and certified by Norrie Williamson, making it not only a fun challenge but also a certified race.

The Midvaal MADMAC is more than just a race; it’s a community celebration. Medals will be awarded to all finishers, and the first 1,000 entrants will receive goodie bags packed with surprises from sponsors like Switch Energy, The Crazy Store, and 32Gi. Additionally, the first 400 participants to sign up for the 42km and 15km races will receive a free race shirt, with the option to purchase additional shirts.

The prize pool for the event is a whopping R86,500, thanks to generous contributions from local businesses, including Midvaal Local Municipality, Oasis Water, APPSolve, and many more. The race is also offering special discounts for Grandmaster and Great Grand Master participants, ensuring that runners of all ages and abilities can take part.

The race will start and finish at Café du Cirque, located just off the R59 at the Randvaal Road offramp, providing a scenic backdrop for the event. Race number collection will be available at the venue on the Friday and Saturday before the race, as well as on race day from 04:40 to 05:40.

All races will be electronically timed, with results published online, and participants can look forward to free race photos capturing their triumphs along the course.
