Sip, paint, celebrate: Walkerville women mark Women’s Day in style
The Walkerville Agricultural Showgrounds burst into colour on 9 August as thirty-four women gathered for a vibrant Sip and Paint event in celebration of Women’s Day.
Hosted by Activities Co-ordinator Dani Botha, the day blended creativity, fine dining and festive camaraderie. Guests were treated to all the art supplies they needed, a generous brunch platter, and a selection of wines – the perfect recipe for laughter, connection and artistic exploration. With paintbrushes in hand and wine glasses never far away, blank canvases transformed into vivid works of art, each telling its own unique story.
Themed “Let your heart create, your hands express, and your art inspire the world,” the event captured the spirit of empowerment and self-expression that filled the air. From seasoned artists to first-time painters, everyone embraced the opportunity to create in a supportive, joy-filled environment.
“It was wonderful to see so many women come together to celebrate themselves, express their creativity and just enjoy the moment. The laughter, the art and the connections made today are exactly what Women’s Day is about,” said Botha.
The success of the event has sparked plans for more ladies’ gatherings in Walkerville – promising even more colour, conversation and creativity in the months to come.
