Midvaal Local Municipality in partnership with Soufflet Malt and Model Liquor Distributor, rolled out its annual Back-to-School Campaign to support learners as they begin the new academic year.

Over 120 pairs of school shoes, socks and dignity packs were donated to Laerskool Voorwats, De Deur Primary School, and Randvaal Primary School.

Midvaal Executive Mayor, Ald Peter Teixeira, said: “For many learners, a lack of essential items can negatively affect attendance and self-esteem. As a Municipality, we are committed to ensuring that learners remain motivated and are not discouraged from pursuing their education due to a lack of resources.”

He added: “We extend our sincere appreciation to Soufflet Malt and Model Liquor Distributors for their support and commitment to making a positive impact in our community.”

The Municipality says it remains committed to partnerships that uplift the lives of Midvaal residents and provide support where it is most needed.
