Midvaal expands fleet to enhance service delivery
Midvaal Local Municipality has procured a total of eighteen (18) new vehicles at a cost of R21 million to expand its fleet and enhance service delivery across the municipality.
The new fleet includes a water tanker that will be deployed to the Roads Section for the maintenance of gravel roads. The Roads Section will also receive two 2-ton trucks to assist with pothole patching and two bakkies for staff transportation.
The municipality also procured a compactor truck, a front loader, an excavator and two additional trucks to further strengthen waste management operations. In addition, R4 million was spent to purchase a dedicated water truck to support emergency response efforts. The Traffic Department will receive six new vehicles to strengthen traffic management operations and improve road safety throughout the municipality.
Midvaal will continue to invest in expanding its fleet to ensure that we reach as many areas across our municipality and meet service delivery needs.
